Airline passengers are now far more likely to win compensation for cancelled flights, following a landmark legal ruling.

The European Court of Justice decision has largely destroyed a get-out clause that let airlines cite 'extraordinary circumstances' when refusing claims.
Lawyers representing aggrieved passengers hailed the decision as a 'landmark' for consumer rights. It means passengers who have had their flights cancelled since 2004 - when European regulations creating compensation rights were introduced - are far more likely to win their claims...
